Wore these socks with running shoes on a recent trip to Yellowstone. They were definitely warmer than my usual "sports socks". They were comfortable and didn't itch. My only complaint was that they slipped a bit during the day, I think that's because they only came down to mid-calf. But overall they were good.

I bought these socks for a trip to Iceland in September. Did this for a full 8 days with 4 pairs, hand washed them in the sink halfway through the trip and they dried fast enough to wear the next day. The hiking boots kept me warm enough even when they got wet. I plan to wear them all winter when I walk my dog. I will definitely buy more.

These are my favorite socks. I have a pair that I bought two years ago and they haven't worn out even though I wear them all the time. They warm, but don't make your feet sweat like other wool, plush or lined socks. They are dense but leave no marks on the skin when I take them off. After two years they are so perfect that I bought 4 more pairs to wear every day.

These socks are the perfect balance of "Goldilocks" - not too thin and not too thick. I have several pairs of socks that are so thin you can feel the cold ground through them as if you were barefoot. It's ok in summer, but useless in winter. I also have a pair of cozy winter socks which are very thick and cannot be worn with shoes! Who designs them? They aren't cheap either.
