It's more purple than in the photo.

My son loves this jacket! The purple is bolder than the photos but I was hoping for that based on other reviews. My son is 5ft 3in and 95lbs, ordered XL and it fits perfectly with plenty of room for more layers underneath. This is a thinner jacket that still provides warmth.

Great coat, new review.

The coat is of very good quality. Bought for my 8 year old son and it fits well and keeps him warm. He also loves the "shiny" inside of the coat!

Withstands grandson use!

Columbia makes great winter coats. My grandchildren have been wearing/torturing them for several years now and the coats outgrow and are passed on to the next before they wear out. Even the zippers are strong. Nice and warm, fairly water repellent... good enough for hours of snow play.

Either ... or. ....! - my new rating

My child wears an average size 8 or medium. Of course I buy the average. Was too big, my baby looked like it was in a cozy place. I'll come back and I'll be small. Now the jackets are tight. Ps my child is not "husky" and not "skinny"

This is a bright purple color that looks like a girls coat, not a deep purple as shown in the picture.

Purple Bright purple. My son liked the dark purple shown in the picture but the light purple looks girly enough to be unisex in our opinion. The coat is much finer and lighter than I expected and the part that goes up around the neck/mouth was rough and rough for him. He found it annoying and uncomfortable. The little ones are perfect for him with room to grow. He is 7.50 inches tall and weighs 52 pounds.
