Colors definitely add shine. This is a very light blanket. In the fall you definitely need something heavier. The fabric is thin and suitable for one person, but if the bed is shared by multiple people I'm not sure how long it will last before tearing at the seam. However, I would say that I am satisfied with my purchase.

The quilt is beautiful. It must have gotten wet in transit and the duvet pattern has shifted onto the sheets and the sheets have green stains on the creases. Polyester sheets don't feel that good. I will buy another set of sheets and just use the comforter as a comforter with matching pillows. Overall I would not recommend this product.
