I have stairs at home that conventional vacuum cleaners cannot clean. down two flights of stairs - and a good solution for a quick pick up. I was disappointed when on first use the most important part of using the ladder - the shoulder strap threaded through the attachment slots - eliminated the over-the-shoulder feature which I was hoping would make it easier to use. It really sucks!: Canister vacuum

This little vacuum really sucks, but it does is a great thing! It's lightweight, portable, packed in a bag which I needed for the very dusty environment I work in and it's pretty quiet. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars across the board is because they came up with a stupid way to attach a shoulder strap to a vacuum! Loop them to make sure they're safe.
