Works great with memory card adapters

Works perfectly. Insert a CF card and the bios will recognize it on all my 286/486 machines. Much faster than the old ide drives! The only problem is that it occupies an entire IDE channel. Although it's not a big problem.

No instructions for computers and accessories

UPDATE: I finally got it working. As someone else mentioned, there were pins that had almost no solder that needed fixing. Also, pin 1 is at the power connector end. Format the drive and copy the CAB to a CF card, boot from a floppy or CD, and then install from the CF. Much luck. OLD REVIEW: There was no documentation for this card. It didn't even have pin 1 marked on the IDE connector. The computer didn't recognize it, so I tried it in another one and it wasn't recognized there either. Maybeโ€ฆ

Works but has some annoying issues

So first let me say that this product actually works. I use it as an IDE adapter for the CPM computer kit. The board adapts perfectly to my 2GB CF card, but a few things went wrong. When I connected everything for the first time, nothing happened. The hard drive activity lights on both the card and my hard drive expansion card stayed lit and the computer could not access the CF card. Examining the board, I noticed that the two pins on the master/slave select jumper were unsoldered. One of theโ€ฆ

Does what the name says

I've tried it on a 486 and WinXP and both recognized and tried to boot from them, but my CF card is probably defective. I would consider it for another computer when replacing old hard drives.
