As advertised; works well. A very small catch: .

As advertised; works well. A very small flaw: the pencil arrived broken and the package was sealed with tape. To make a circle with a larger radius than the fiberglass rod that came with it, I was able to just attach it to a 1/2" wooden dowel.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not bad

The idea was good but the design was lacking

The idea was good but the design was lacking. Great when drawing circles on an open surface, but you can't use it over the edge of anything as the holder won't get you close to a perpendicular surface like in a connected wall. What I needed it for, for a fresco.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons

Cheap but effective.

Pros: - One of the few larger radius brush options that won't break the bank - You can replace the beam with a wooden dowel or similar material to increase its length. Length Cons: I originally chose this to allow for easy grip changing, however the diameter allowed by the end clip is limited by the size of the 'pencil'. It wouldn't be hard to drill or cut a slightly larger diameter pen clip, but it would be nice if it worked the way I wanted it to. The hinge and clip are made of cheaper…

Ideal for drawing large circles on sheet stock

This compass includes a fiberglass rod about 12" long, but you can use the trampolines on any 1/2" dowel or round stock to make larger arcs. Maybe for $15 total for this kit and a few bucks at the hardware store for the dowel, you can easily draw 3 foot arcs or 6 foot circles. I find it easier, more reliable, and more accurate than using string on one Mark the large curve with a pencil. The streetcar marker end accepts a pen, pencil, or marker up to a standard marker diameter, but the larger…

draw circles. The Best of Electronics and Gadgets

First, it's plastic. I bought this one with a fiberglass pole because it was cheaper than without it. Since it is plastic, you cannot tighten the set screws enough. I went to the store and bought a wooden dowel which helped. I adjust the size by tightening the set screw on the rivet part. I loosened and moved it, then drilled a shallow hole in that spot. This keeps the tip in place without moving it. I also drilled a hole in the pen holder to keep it from moving. It was cheaper to paint and cut

  • Great Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

works but has trouble keeping setting

Great for drawing large circles and arcs on wood. The rod is a smooth, round, hard piece of plastic, 1/2 inch in diameter and just over 12 inches long. Seems too smooth. The adjustments slide too easily and you have to tighten the screws carefully to maintain a certain diameter. The two ends also rotate slightly around the rod, changing diameter. The rotation problem would be better if the stick was square or hexagonal, but then it would be more difficult to use alternating, longer sticks. I…
