Worked on my Edge 2.7L Sport

Fits my Edge 2.7L Sport, installs just like the OEM plug, now changing your own oil becomes even easier than before. I like it. I had a drain valve on my F350 6.7 for years, that's the only way out if you change the oil yourself.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Negative point exists

Good value for money

I installed this because I was fed up with the flow of oil when you unscrew the factory plug. Now I can use a hose and drain the oil directly into the plastic gas tank without mess. Very easy to install and seals perfectly without dripping. I strongly recommend if you change your own oil!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Makes me mad

TO INSTALL 2020 F150 5.0!

VALVE MUST BE OPENED FOR CORRECT INSTALLATION! Fits between stabilizer bar and oil pan. Enough space. The installation instructions are terrible. Watch the Ronin Factory Oil Drain Plug Installation video on YouTube, it helped me.1. Turn valve to open position 2. Plug in connector, turn connector so valve is facing down (at 6 o'clock)3. Insert the connector by twisting it clockwise, you should press firmly.4. You will feel the connector tighten, it will be difficult to turn until you feel it go…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Long term review: Sloppy design but better than nothing

After this valve was installed on my 2021 Eco-Boost F150 Lariat 2021 and had about 20,000 miles on it I had this thought. About this valve: Pros: - Allows a 5/8" ID hose to be fitted instead of oil splattering all over the place when it flows onto the stabilizer bar - Works well with hard to reach skid plates - Doesn't fail completely over 20,000 miles Cons: - The latch on the lever almost failed in less than two years (see video) - The single o-ring on the plug that goes into the oil pan…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
