Not bad for under $10. They're pretty loud for their size. The volume control was a good idea, but the execution wasn't great. The cables are too short to place the volume control in a convenient place. I would have to get up and reach for the back of the monitor to use it, so it's not very convenient. Bought a few months ago and only tried it today. I've tried using a USB connection but I'm not getting any sound from the speakers, only from my laptop. I then tried using the 3.5mm jack and although my laptop seemed to recognize that I had a new device plugged in, no sound came out of the speakers. Okay you paid $8 for it which is great but you shouldn't expect decent sound as I didn't and will be returning them They are VERY small and cheaply assembled ($8 again!), and so light they literally slipped (and possibly fell off the tabletop) because the wire connecting them was bent, stiff, and heavier than real speakers.
