It works as it should and will not damage your hardware. The head of the USB cable goes in just a little while the rest sticks out. It still works, but the slightest bump or movement will sometimes cause it to come loose. It would be better if it was made a bit larger so that it can properly accommodate the USB cables

Purchased to easily switch keyboard, mouse and headset between work and home computer. Worked fine for a while (maybe a week or so) but I noticed that every time it collided I lost connection to the entire switch. Every time my desk is bumped (simply from sitting in a chair or putting a cup on the surface) the switch loses connection. I swapped out all the wires thinking one might be shorted but it didn't work. It's the switch itself.

My work laptop is connected to two of my personal monitors while working from home during the pandemic, and this little device lets you switch between a keyboard, mouse and headset both computers without problems. I used to have to switch all of the USB cables every time I wanted to change my computer (and it was such a pain, ugh). Now I can do that with this little device at the touch of a button! I bought an extra one for my wife so she can do the same.

When I came across this device I immediately bought it and am currently using it. I have 2 PCs in the office that both need access to my external drives. Voila! This thing was the ticket to success. I'm currently waiting for another similar device that will switch a keyboard/mouse between two systems. Then I have a fully integrated system. Bottom line, job done! ThxAl

It works when it works. But the problem is the fit and finish are terrible. This is very helpful, don't get me wrong. but it won't take long enough to work for you.

I bought this to be able to switch mouse and keyboard between two computers with separate monitors (so full KVM not required). It does its job well, but the low-profile USB ports mean that connections will disconnect and reconnect from time to time with even the slightest touch. I could probably turn it off just by blowing on it. I zipped it up to keep it from moving, but even vibration from the table would cause the connection to be lost.
