I bought one as a gift and one for myself because it was such a great price. Maybe it's because my hair is thicker but hardly frizzes. My hair usually curls really well so I was disappointed. There is no on/off switch or temperature control.

You have no heat settings. Not only that, these straighteners don't heat enough to style hair. You literally have to hold your hair with a flat iron for many minutes to give it a little shape. Needless to say it has been a disappointing experience so far.

I was so embarrassed I gave it to my mother she asked after she had it some time after Christmas as she liked it said no i had to go and buy another one because they don't get hot, she said she could leave them there for 5 minutes and still put her hand on them without burning herself. Does not correspond to the photos. The product has no switch and does not regulate the temperature. Gets hot enough to curl. However, it's not hot enough for the curls to stay. I gave two stars because despite the inconvenience I still use it. I would not recommend this product if you want curls to last more than an hour.

Although other reviews weren't great I bought this because one of the questions was "does it turn off automatically?" Someone replied that no, this is a manual. THIS IS NOT MANUAL, THERE IS NO POWER BUTTON! To turn it off, you have to turn it off! Just let everyone know. THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT! Also, it ripples.

I read a lot of reviews but still chose the curling iron because it's Conair, a name I know and have bought before. The product description says they have 2 temperature settings. You are not. Tried a medium run. It warmed up to a slightly warm temperature. I have fine, baby-like, fine hair. As long as my hair was wrapped around the shaft I could touch it with my fingers and it felt slightly warm. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. long.h.
