A very practical item for on the go.

This is an extremely useful item on a trip where there are NEVER enough USB ports or power outlets. It worked well and will now travel with me.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Strap

I couldn't connect the large square charging plug to Charlie without covering at least one of Charlie's other sockets. Also, Charlie is big enough to cover two outlets. Charlie is not designed to work with a large transformer plug. Charlie is not recommended. The idea is solid. The execution is not very good. I'm sorry, Charlie.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Great gift and works great after 2 years

Bought 2 years ago for my brother and his wife and they use it to charge their phones and tablets at night. They love it and that's it. Buy this product if you are looking for a durable charger. It won't cost you the same as monster cable, but it will cost twice as much. It's like an engineer who left Monster Corp and started his own company and can now bring you a monster quality cable at a fraction of the cost.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Great price

I like this one better

I had a Belkin travel charger but lost it. I like it better I had high hopes for the number of USB ports on this unit, however. When I tried to connect my iPad and iPhone, it started flashing and both wouldn't charge. It would charge both if I used the AC plug for one or the other. Because of the way the wall plug is constructed, it can be difficult to use in some hotels, whereas the Belkin had the plug on the end and could rotate. It's right in the middle on the back.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Available in black only

Works well with accessories and accessories

Works well. Any USB port will work just as well as AC outlets. My only criticism of all manufacturers is the USB connection. I don't understand why all USB ports are not rated for 3 amps. If each port is 5 volts DC at 3 amps, that would mean 110 volts AC at 0.14 amps (110 AC becomes 5 DC) multiplied by 9 ports gives about 1.26 amps. P = IE and will be around 139 watts at 110ac. This is less than a 150W incandescent bulb. I know this is an oversimplification, but I'll try to emphasize that…
