The center pin on the body connector is recessed and works well with the mating connector provided. However, with the wall adapters I use, the connection is intermittent.

Connectors appear to have been made by high school metalworking students. Untenable. Questionable material selection leads to easy breakage, breakage of the strain relief, interrupted center contact. The center pin is riveted to the solder tag, the rivet is loose. The plastic sleeve is a low temperature thermoplastic and can easily withstand the heat of a soldering iron for a few seconds. Don't even think about using bare wire, the connector will melt in the time the solder flows.

I used them to hook up low voltage LEDs under the cabinet lights and they worked fine. I used 6 males and 5 females and only had to throw out 1 of the 11. It probably could have worked, but there were a lot of extras. Quality isn't the best as some others have noted, but certainly suitable for many non-extreme uses. So if you plan to use it in a dragster, airplane or spaceship under construction, keep looking. Most other things should be fine.

Sockets are NOT sized, they are 2.1mm x 5.5mm. The center pin in the socket should be the larger 2.5mm, but it is the smaller 2.1mm. They do not provide good electrical contact, if any. The plugs were the right size as advertised. SEVERAL ORDERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM - I thought maybe it was an accident that they were different sizes and ordered it again but it was the same wrong mix. Who knows how many of these got mixed up in the packaging.

Quality issues noted in some reviews. I've used several and had no problems. If you're experienced in soldering, you'll be in control of the heat. It only took about 3 seconds to heat up the solder connector and the plastic didn't melt. The strain relief connector is made of lightweight and soft plastic. It is literally held by 2 threads. It seems fine when carefully screwed on, but I'm sure that if too much shearing force is applied to the connector, the threads of the plastic shell will be…
