Use the correct gun and staples

The installation wasn't particularly terrible, but I would like to know that the staples have to be a certain type first so they can penetrate the hard plastic of the console. I ordered the Revain pistol and shackle set that was recommended with this case but got lost. So I had to search and run HD to get a new gun and better staples. The quality seems excellent and the durability is good, time will tell. Honestly, I would buy it again if I needed it.

Don't worry, it's very easy to install!

I fitted this to my 2013 Ford Explorer Limited using a 1/4 staple stapler and it fit like a glove. Removing the old one was excruciating only because I wanted to make sure I had removed all the staples. The new one was very easy to install. Just start with four corners right at the seams, pull them as tight as you can, and staple all four together. Then just pull and tack around the perimeter and when you're done simply trim the excess fabric around the perimeter. Overall it looks a lot better…

My center armrest now looks brand new

I've been wanting to buy a leather repair kit for my center armrest tear but after watching a few videos I didn't realize you would get such great results. I ordered these instead. I had to watch a few videos to see how to remove the armrest (first pry off the inner plastic cover, then unscrew the cover with torx/star bits). The rest was easy - peel off the old leather by pulling out the staples, place the new on the lid and work in a circle, stretch the fabric and staple together as before…
