I used these to replace the worm gear belts. This is superior to worm gear bands as it is constantly self-adjusting to maintain pressure around the hose as it degrades and loses its original diameter. It's a bit of a hassle to work with, but once installed you know it's there and won't lose power if there is a leak. Check the OD of the hose to be clamped and make sure it is larger than the lower ID of this clamp but does not exceed the maximum OD. I used them on the Land Rover Discovery II…

This listing should be flagged as false advertising. In terms of durability and construction, they are bulletproof. They will

This clamp will fit 1-3/4 inch OD hose, but barely . It basically opens exactly 1-3/4 inches at most. There is a tongue that can be ground down to allow it to open up a bit more. (See photo) You may want to wear safety goggles in case he slips away. from you. lol. So with my 1-3/4" OD hose on the plastic radiator fitting, it barely went in, and it had a very small flange and plenty of room to work with. I didn't even try on the motor end of the hose, where there was one There was a larger metal
