Wow, I love this thing. Even more after 3 years. UPDATE

I have had a hot tub for 20 years now. I have tried everything to get away from harsh chemicals. My latest what Hydrogen Peroxide but I was extremely fussy to use. But this ChlorMaker take salt (I use Dead Sea mineral salts) and turns it into a very mild natural form of chlorine. When you first open the lid you get a little whiff of chlorine smell because its trapped but once in the tub you do not smell it any more. Takes a little time to get it adjusted right but after a few months now I still

It’s worth the price

I normally don’t write reviews unless a product is really bad, or extremely exceptional. This product is defiantly the latter! I have been fussing and fighting with chemicals for years with my hot tub.draining and refilling every couple months. With this salt system, you can take all the headache out of caring for your spa. Just adjust the ph every now and then. My water stays crystal clear and I only change it twice a year. My spa is 200 gallons, so I add 3lbs of salt and forget about it. The…

Broke down quickly, Customer Support almost nonexistant

I bought a MegaChlor in November 2017. It was in operation until September 2018 in my hot tub.I’ve been disappointed with the product and especially the customer service. My unit stopped working after 10 months. I attempted to disassemble it as they recommend but the plastic cell would not unscrew without the plastic itself just flaking away. Works good for 16x32 Intex above ground pool.

I use this on our 16' x 32' x54" Intex above-ground soft-side pool. The pool is close to 15,000 gallons. I've had it set up a couple of weeks and the weather has been very hot, but the MegaChlor does the job, keeping the chlorine levels in the "ok" range the whole time. I have it set on maximum output. Works great. Wiring not for everyone.

We are competent at electric wiring so I pulled a 220v line with a 110v style plug off the control panel of the spa and plugged this little guy in. Wow. Works great. I replaced our ozonator as well and with that and this saltwater system the water in our tub is way better than it ever was. It’s really easy to pull power from your spa control panel this way the transformer plug stays warm and dry inside your spa. Hot Tub Saltwater Converter - Quality Control of The Elements Stinks!

I've had this product for many years and am just now replacing the whole assembly. Works very well for us. We have four elements that we swap out and all but one of the elements the quality control stinks.UPDATE: The new unit seems to work better than my original unit.

Convenient Saltwater Chlorine Generation

Pretty easy placement and setup for this. Mount control unit in a water proof area, plug in to a GFCI outlet and set your intensity needed. I hung the cell over the wall just off the bottom near the inlet jet. Bring up salt level until red light changes to blue. Pool is sparkling clear with hardly any attention. All you need to do on occasion is check clorine level and adjust controller.

Very easy to use! - my new review

I bought the salt chlorinator for my 12x20 above ground rectangular pool. Very simple to use. Just drop it in the water. Didn’t have to add to hoses or connectors. Different model from what I have used before. Old model is not carried by Ebay anymore. Crystal clear water! Very happy with my purchase, though I wish it was a bit cheaper.
