I bought a MegaChlor in November 2017. It was in operation until September 2018 in my hot tub.I’ve been disappointed with the product and especially the customer service. My unit stopped working after 10 months. I attempted to disassemble it as they recommend but the plastic cell would not unscrew without the plastic itself just flaking away. The submersible cord is brittle and discolored after the 10 months.All of that I can excuse, but the customer service has been beyond irritating. Call after call goes straight to voicemail. I called every hour for a whole day, no answer. Finally got a hold of them days later. No real resolution, then I switched to email. It takes them multiple days to just email you back.I got to the point where I realized "even if they replace this for free, I don’t want the risk of going through it again.” I burned another $200 buying a Saltron system instead.
