It works as it should but when I received it I thought at first they sent me the wrong product; the metal in the USB socket was badly dented. I carefully used a flathead screwdriver to straighten it rather than sending it back or throwing it in the trash. The company must check and/or test it before shipping.

There really aren't many reviews here as long as everything works well and there is little reason to expect problems. For my needs this was perfect as my work phone is USB-C and my personal is micro USB as is my tablet so I don't need multiple adapters. So far everything I've plugged in has worked fine as expected as Android recognizes keyboards, mice, drives and the like fairly well.

Thing works and is inexpensive. I used it on my Fire TV Cube gen 2 to convert an Anker Gb Network USB Hub to a Micro USB port. My connection speed was around 100Mbps with the original NIC that came in the box and is now 350Mbps (USB2 Cube connector limitation). Now I can also connect my Logitech wireless USB dongle keyboard to Anker. Great success. Buy it.

It works great as promised and is a lot easier to use than one of those dueling USB sticks for phones and computers that were really cumbersome. If you have an Android phone, you need it to back up your data, especially your photos.

I was hoping this would allow me to connect an external USB drive so I could transfer files back and forth to my phone more easily can. Well, the phone saw the flash drive, but the phone didn't know what to do with it. I've tried just plugging this into another computer to test the adapter and it's fine. So it works exactly as intended, but not in the way I was hoping (and it's my fault).

No need to buy a whole bunch of new cables. That paragraph specifically says they don't work with OTG adapters, which is why I bought this adapter. It works for both USB-C and Micro-USB. In fact, this adapter works better with some of my micro USB devices. My old adapter didn't work on my tablet or my wife's phone. This one works with every device I've tried (two tablets and three phones). 5 stars from me!

I connected the phone to Micro USB at first and found that it cannot be charged. Then I tried the phone with USB-C and no charging. Then connected Android to USB mouse, USB keyboard and USB drives and everything seemed to work. Android cannot read NTFS on flash drives, so reformatting to FAT32 or exFAT is required. Also tried a USB drive on the Macbook Air USB-C and it worked. When connecting to a Samsung Micro USB phone, the Android phone turned off after a few minutes, wouldn't turn back on…
