2 monitors or less is great! 3 or more will not work

This product was really simple and easy to hook up when I only had two monitors hooked up to my XFX Radeon RX 570 but when I bought a third monitor I was disappointed found out You must use "active" Displayport to HDMI adapters. They can be found at Revain, but this product is passive - unidirectional. Here is the relevant search: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=displayport+to+hdmi+active&crid=14X7U0E2UGRH4&sprefix=displayport

Cons

Both have worked well for the last four months. Up to 1080p.

Not much to say, they only work as long as you understand the limitations. I'm switching from these adapters to 6" HDMI cables to monitors, I haven't tried longer cables with them. They support up to 1080p, so if you're looking for a higher resolution, you'll need to look elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend these or similar pigtail adapters if you plug and unplug them frequently, for fairly static setups they work fine.

  • Satisfied so far

Great solution for connecting DP to HDMI

Bought these to connect my wife's new laptop dock to her brand new pair of 1080p screens. Your old dock was old enough to have both VGA and DVI outputs. The new one skipped HDMI and had two DisplayPort connectors. And indeed, her employer didn't think to include any keys, as if each house only had a couple of DP-enabled monitors. Anyway, they worked like clockwork, and she now has 1080p dual monitor connectivity for just ten bucks. Note: They do not support 4K. Same as my monitors but be awareโ€ฆ

Allows my laptop to have multiple screens

This pair of HDMI adapter cables was purchased so I can use two old Lenovo CAD monitors. These monitors have been updated with new 8k curved monitors and were located in the used equipment section of the office helpdesk. My laptop is so thin and has an HDMI port and a Type-C expansion hub with another HDMI port. These older monitors had a DVI and a display port in addition to the VGA connection. These little adapter cables plugged into the display port and voila, the screens were recognized and

I like my cables as much as I like my wife - Bi!

I tried to connect this cable to a DP monitor and connected several HDMI cables but nothing, the monitor did not recognize the signal. However, my monitor recognized that something was plugged in because it gives me a different message when the adapter is plugged in than when it's not plugged in. I then unplug the HDMI cable and connect the PC to another display device and it works fine (I always use the HDMI connection on that particular PC). The only problem might be that these adapters onlyโ€ฆ

Please learn how to work with two screens on your computers.

I think most people use these for their computers or laptops. I haven't had any issues with them that I haven't had with any other brand, including some $20+ Dells. Some of the computers I work with have had problems with this and all others, possibly with bad ports. In any case, they worked as intended and worked flawlessly for several months. The only problem I have is users who have no idea how to manage their computers. As we are the only Dell store we don't change much from model to modelโ€ฆ

My problem solved!: DVI to HDMI adapter

I had a DP MST hub that connected 2 monitors to my graphics card. Every time my computer woke up from sleep, one monitor showed a crazy multicolor/linear display, almost like what you might have seen back when the VGA cable was barely plugged in and about to pop out of the port on the back to fall. Computer. Replacing the DP MST hub and instead plugging the HDMI to DP adapters directly into the ports on the back of the computer solved my problem. One connection per port is usually always aโ€ฆ
