Bought with the intention of hanging on the fridge door when not in use. After opening the packaging, we attached it to our fridge door with attached magnets. The next morning we found 2 of these on the floor in front of the fridge but the magnets were still stuck to the door. The next morning there were two more clamps on the ground. The glue used was not good. Now we need to stash staples in crowded drawers. The clamps themselves work perfectly. I do not recommend.

The clamp itself is strong, so that's okay. (Although two of them "fell apart" today and none of my kids blamed it... I don't know if the pin came loose or if my little genius decided to take them apart.) I'm giving this 4 stars because of the Magnetic strips are not suitable. At first glance these clips look good. They clamp pretty well and the rubber grip keeps them in place. However, after a little use, their design flaw becomes obvious. The hinge pin is very short and will pop out of its clamps at the slightest provocation. The hinge pins reset (fairly) easily, but fold back up very quickly. Unfortunately the stylus cannot be bent or otherwise altered to prevent this as it is too short. Almost every time you use these things you will drop the hinge pin. This…

A high-quality clip that sits firmly and, thanks to the silicone strip inside, does not slip off the opened packaging. A bit difficult to open but that's why they stay snug where you put them. The magnet is weak but we like it because we just keep it in the fridge (easy to remove for use and less risk of scratching the outside of the fridge) to use on bags etc. We don't use it to store items like recipes etc on the fridge. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the big ones also have magnets.

Enough spring tension to keep bags of chips closed, although wide bag clips would work better for multiple bags if the spring pressure was a bit more. The clips work well for sealing bags (which is what we bought them for), the flared tops slide out far enough to remove the magnet from a flat surface like a fridge should you want to use that feature.
