I thought it was a cooling pad filled with gel instead it looks more like a bath mat. It does seem to keep my dog cool though That's my feedback.

This product does feel cold to the touch. I was disappointed though when I put it on my porch so my dog could sit outside on it and after about an hour I touched it and it was hot! So I only recommend this for inside the house.

It’s not a gel pad, it’s just a cool satiny soft upper layer, but it stays fairly cool and my dog rolls around to the cool spots when she gets warm.

My 74 pound , hairy dog loves this blanket and often lies on it. Sometimes cooling just part of his body, sometimes all. At times he refuses to leave it. I was afraid it wouldn’t get cool if I washed it, but when it became soiled, we washed it per the instructions and it cleaned right up and cooled as usual. We are very happy with the blanket. We wish we could get one bigger for ourselves!
