The quality has gone down EXTREMELY!

About four years ago I bought a Coolaroo bed for my Golden. I recently replaced my bed mat because it was worn and had small holes in it. A week after he put the replacement rug on his bed, he already has two holes! I won't buy again and will look for another brand instead. I am SO disappointed as our older Golden always loved his Coolaroo bed.

The perfect open raised bed!

Best durable outdoor dog bed for the heat. Easy to rinse and clean. Easily holds my 100 lb lab and Shepsky's 60 lb (31" x 44"). It took my Shepsky 5 months to chew/dig a hole and dropped his first cloth bag, this should take longer now that his puppy chewing phase has settled down. With occasional digging and play I hope it lasts between 1 and 2 years (with normal use - in the shade with occasional cleaning the coating lasted up to 3 years)

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Doubtful

I found an affordable replacement cover for the K&H cot (large)

I used this as a replacement cover for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CLA0RVE/ref= oh_aui_search_detailpage? dh=UTF8&psc=1K&H Nativity large. I had to constantly change the covers, which eventually broke, and I wanted something cheaper. It's a bit big but still holds my 78 lb dog inches off the ground. The dog uses it with no problems. As long as it holds up well. Doesn't fade in the sun like other brands. I'll try to remember to update my review if it's better than K&H spare beds. Even…

Like the original Best of Beds & Furniture

First loft pet bed I've ever bought and the frames have lasted for decades (very strong). The lids can be damaged by vigorous chewing/scratching, however they are not bulletproof. The mesh construction provides good ventilation/cooling and our dogs love to relax on these outdoor beds. I agreed that I would only need to replace the caps every year or two - depending on the conditions they are exposed to. If we didn't have a small dog or two constantly scratching them, the covers would last a lot

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

I love it but won't chew it

I like their mesh design and price but for us they are not meant to be chewed. I have a 55 lb boxer/bulldog mix and a 65 lb boxer. What I think happens, but I don't know for sure, is that her toenails (which we support) go through the mesh and cause a small hole in the fabric. Then my Bulldog mix, known for his toughness, takes it to the next level. I bought a few of these because I have a frame and they're relatively cheap, but they all ended up with big holes. Their lifespan ranges from a few

  • Stylish and modern design

Replacement Coolaroo Cool Case

This is the 3rd replacement case I have purchased for the original frame in the last 7 years. We currently have 3 Labrador/Retriever mixes (largest is 115lbs) but this bed has been used once by 3 adults and 9 puppies. You weren't exactly gentle with the bed lol. Sometimes 2 of them lie on it at the same time. This interchangeable cover is perfect for a large frame and easy to install. We live in Las Vegas where summer temperatures can reach 120 degrees. Located on the back patio, the bed can…

Why not buy a deck chair for your dog!

My chocolate lab loves their coolaroo and cover! The material is just scratchy enough that she loves rubbing her nose and face against the blanket and eventually her whole body, but soft enough that she'll loll around in it in the sun. He's strong enough to hold a man. Why does everyone want to sit on my coolaroo dogs! And even under the weight of a random person plus an 80-pound dog, the cover sags a bit. There was a small hole in my current case, it was my fault, but this did not affect the…

MY GERMAN SHEPHERD RECOMMENDS THIS BED

UPDATE: Just put the 3rd replacement cover on the base. Fritzi is a 100 pound German Shepherd who just turned 5 on Christmas Eve. She uses this bed all the time. The trick was to cover the bed with a quilt and sheet and tuck the corners under your legs. The third cap I replaced lasted over 4 years. It was stretched so I replaced it. The frame is still strong. I don't think the cover is cheap like I originally said. It is a durable, breathable material. I recommend this bed. At the price you…
