Fans are noisy and ARGB doesn't work

Ordered this for my son to plug into his new computer he built himself. Good packaging and everything you need is in it. Unfortunately, the controller got very hot as soon as it was connected, couldn't switch modes with the buttons, ASUS 570 per MB was not recognized (fully patched BIOS and firmware). The fans are noisy even at 50% speed (these are DC fans and difficult to tune). Cooler Master Support did not help. Returning this product and using Corsair.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Complete rubbish, just avoid.

So I had 3 of these to put on my radiator for a custom hinge I built and I sent them back. Right out of the box 1 had dead LEDs and when the computer was running they sounded like a jet engine only 50% taking off, 100% you could hear them in the other room. Cooler Master is basically doing junk at the moment and is just living on its years of reputation, so just spend a few bucks more and get it. Corsair fans or those looking for something inexpensive but effective and functional can choose the

Does not fit same manufacturer case

This particular CoolerMaster fan does not fit the CoolerMaster HAF Evo case cover. I have a second identical HAF Evo case with a different (non-LED) 200mm fan and it fits great. The problem is that the geometry of the mounting holes in the case is different from the geometry of the fan. At best, you can use two attachment points. However, the included screws that came with the fan go right through the grommets in the case cover, so this solution will not work with the fan. I will return this…

High class fan with options!

I bought these fans instead of case fans. This is exactly what I wanted, the RGB color is fantastic especially the light coming out of the halo on the sides. The fans are very quiet once configured in the Bios/MoBo fan software, and they include all the necessary hardware to cover ARGB (5V, 3pins) and RGB (12V, 4pins), including a controller, if your MoBo doesn't have RGB connectors. I was able to control all of my fans, including the AIO and board lights, using MSI's Mystic Light software. You

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Not bad

I wanted this cool fan with RGB capabilities but unfortunately like the picture with black outline where there is those red and yellow circles where you can see it doesn't fit where it should be even cooler than the main body (HAF XB EVO) where 200mm is the right size and the description didn't mention that this is the case will not fit into all the cooler Master Cases. I ended up buying another one like the other third picture with an all white outline (Cooler Master MegaFlow 200 - 200mm…

Fans barely lasted 3 months

Within the first month after I installed the fan, one fan started making a very faint rattle that lasted a second, then disappeared and started again. Not too loud, not too frequent, and I figured I'd be turned down (and paid) if I took it for that. Now I am three months old and the throbbing is constant. Sounds like a bad camp. From time to time the chassis shakes and vibrates (I would forget if he didn't just do it - not even daily). I twirled it around a bit while it was off to see if it…

There are more powerful 200mm fans like Noctua

Replaced the R4-200R-08FC-R1 MF200R RGB fan on my h500p CM because after just a month it started rattling (using the same fan) . The fan came with less wobble than the original fans and no misaligned decal, so that's a plus in my book. There are more efficient 200mm fans out there like the Noctua, but I don't think you can go wrong with this fan if you want 200mm and RGB fans. If you don't need RGB, look elsewhere. At 800rpm (800rpm max) they move a TON of air until they suffocate. The sound…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There are defects

Image of my old AMD FX-8350 with Gamdia's AIO 240 cooler and matching fans case for reference. The Cooler Master Halo 120 aren't that bright, that might be the deciding factor for you. My new build is an all white Lian Li 011Dynamic XL case which reflects a lot of light so the dimmer works fine for me. The only complaint about case fans these days has to do with their location, intake (drawing air in) or exhaust (pushing air out). Mind you, this is purely aesthetic, but it's important to the…

Pros

Great performers and audience with no price tag. Read the full review!

Some basic notes about these fans:** Edit: If you install these fans face down and run above 70% RPM, the fans will rattle. Any other mounting position is fine1) Price: Excellent value for money compared to other RGB fans. You can get 6 for the price of 3 Corsair ll120 fans. And these fans are just as good, if not better than these. 2) Authenticity: According to motherboard reports, these fans actually run between 1850 and 1975 RPM. 3) Performance: These fans have higher static pressure than…
