It works as expected

I bought this because I made the mistake of buying separate CM mf120r Argb fans (instead of the 3 pack which included these or the Pro which only RGB is and my mobile device supports it ) Plugging in was easy, figuring out how to use the controller when it's in the case varied a lot so I decided to just leave the controller outside until I figured out with which MasterPlus software the controller was compatible outside of the case. Works perfectly! But there's a catch

I'd just like to start by saying this is a product designed for CoolerMaster fans but uses universal connectors (ARGB Gen 2 connector to be precise). thought this product was a scam because it didn't work with my ASUS TUF motherboard even though it claims to be supported. YOU MUST CONNECT THE CONTROLLER TO THE COMPUTER WITH THE MINI USB CABLE! Works with CM software, but firmware needs to be updated first

If you're wondering if this product will work with Cooler Master Master+ software, you don't have to pay $60 for a more expensive one: it works indeed. However, you need a USB 2.0 cable (motherboard pinout) to a micro USB cable. This product has a micro USB connector but does not come with a cable. Luckily I had a spare and was able to update the firmware and after that it was recognized so I could use the software on my Cooler Master Halos.
