Works as it should for internal components

power supply works as it should. My fans make more noise than this PSU, so I can say it's quiet. Besides, he looks great! Cable management is very easy thanks to the modular design.

Coil whine caused speaker hum

The power supply had a coil whine that caused an awful hum in the left 8" woofer of the HS8 pair connected to the audio interface. I reinstalled evga 500w, there is no hum even when I push 480 watts.

Fully modular, very quiet operation

I liked not having to hide wires that weren't being used. Gold efficiency means the computer can survive a brief power outage without shutting down. The only downside is that the motherboard's main connector starts at the power supply, merging the two connectors into one that looks sloppy.

Solid product, included cables could be better.

A few years later I had another Corsair AX860 out of service so I ordered it as a spare in a pinch. The build quality of the PSU was great, all cables fit well and don't seem to want to fight back when I try to unplug an unnecessary SATA cable. I didn't notice the noise level, which is good. , my computer is about 3 feet away from me.
