Nice LONG Loud Ring

So far so good. I've had it for a few months now and it has a good, consistent (long and loud) ringtone and accurate time. It's a bit large and I definitely recommend using it properly (scroll clockwise to 55 minutes before returning to the correct number of minutes) and also storing it on a flat surface away from heat. It does not have a magnet, so it needs a separate place in the kitchen. We have a noisy house and this saved a lot of things when the microwave or oven timers weren't audible.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • No Color Required

It works better than the ones I bought at Walmart

It works better than the ones I bought at Walmart. However, this often stops about 5 minutes before the call. It's not reliable at all because you never know if there will be a time this time when it just stops. It doesn't matter if you first turn the knob all the way to 0 or not, sometimes it still stays put. Don't waste your money overpaying for it because it doesn't work either. I'll find an antique at a thrift store.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Not sure

Looks good, not loud enough

Advantages:1. The stainless steel version fits my devices. Cons: 1. If you prefer a smoother sounding ring then this is what you need. This is fine if you're in the kitchen, but if you're on the phone within 15 feet, you could miss it.2. I'm not entirely sure about the handle design. Sometimes I have to play with the handle because it doesn't move after it's fully twisted. The case of the device is not a problem. Yes it can last a year but I'm not sure if it will last say 4-5 years of daily…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

The TM60 timer wasn't "NEW" it was used. . There were scratches and other signs of wear. But the worst part was that it "died" about 30 days after we received it. Also the "bell” was rather weak due to the bottom cover design. Inside, the "work" was dusty, indicating it was not new. But luckily I was able to fix it. I took it apart, used electronics degreaser, a light silicone grease and finally a drop of watch oil on the balance wheel. The timer works great now. From below it is usually closed

Pros
  • Top marks from testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Best Mechanical Kitchen Timer

I am a professional baker and have used these and digital timers for many years. I consider Cooper-Atkins timers to be the most accurate non-digital timers I have come across. When using one of these dial timers, if the desired time is less than 30 minutes, you must rewind it past the 30 minute mark to then set it to the desired time, or it will not work properly. I wonder if this was an issue with a previous reviewer. This timer has an incredibly important ring. Like a baker who works all…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Sad Equipment
