I bought this iron to solder 22 pins onto a printed circuit board no larger than a postage stamp. My eighty-year-old hands and eyes approached the task with great trepidation, but the iron pulled through without complaint. Just the right amount of heat for the job. I would have preferred a chisel point to a round one, but it worked. It is not suitable for larger jobs. For normal wiring, get at least 40 watts and more.
