It works. suitable for welding and soldering

It's bigger than I thought and when I started using it the tip fell off. It turns out that it is simply pressed against the iron with a cone fit and not screwed. I'd rather keep it to myself than torment it by sending it back. It works well and melts solder well if you're just looking for a pencil soldering iron, it's good and worth the money but too big for fine PCB work.

Pros
  • welding and soldering
Cons
  • so far so good

Fine tool for fine work

I bought this iron to solder 22 pins onto a printed circuit board no larger than a postage stamp. My eighty-year-old hands and eyes approached the task with great trepidation, but the iron pulled through without complaint. Just the right amount of heat for the job. I would have preferred a chisel point to a round one, but it worked. It is not suitable for larger jobs. For normal wiring, get at least 40 watts and more.

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Supplies
Cons
  • Expensive

Coopertools SP12 Soldering Iron

I am a Computer/Electronic Engineer. and used a conventional soldering iron for several years, looked for a smaller soldering iron and finally found this tool. Pros: - small, light as a pencil - easy to navigate as it looks like a pencil Circuit for example. LCDTV boards, PC boards.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Some Errors
