Great curved shape but bent on the curved end.

Slightly uneven tips. The curved end helps to start the bead when the tire is initially mounted. The curved tip bent when I was about halfway down the first bead. It was on a 17-inch alloy wire rim. I like the curve. I will keep looking for a more durable version.

This is a tire shop. on tire and wheel tools

Bought to use on the front wheels of my lawn mower as I was tired of using screwdrivers to remove tires. The rims are steel, so probably not scratched. It turned out, the size was approaching. You probably wouldn't want to use it on car or truck tires unless you're a masochist or just like to mess around.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Almost never

Indispensable when changing tires

Used to replace two front tires on my Pug F570. This greatly simplifies the process as it is thin enough to slip between the tire and rim and pry the tire off without damaging the rim. It didn't damage or even ruin the rim. Definitely recommend this, take one or two as you will be using both.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Ok

Great tool for the money

This is a great tool for the price. The finish came out a little flat/matte so I might have preferred something more polished or just smoother to start with, but to be honest it doesn't really matter. The curved shape really helps to hook the bead with the lever. I've seen the same instrument under different brand names for double the price.

Worked great on 245/65R17 tires

Wrench Very soapy and persuasion with a hammer drill. Very effective at "removing" tires, but I can't comment on the installation as my goal was just to separate tires and rims for recycling around town. Anyone who says these things "bend" is lying. They have very brittle properties and are likely to break before they bend.

  • Free for educational purposes

Ideal for motorcycle tires

Great size for motorcycle tyres. I was concerned the length was short for a lever but they were more than enough. Anyone who has leverage problems is picking up too many tires. Work in smaller increments. Some reviews mention kinks and I can't imagine those kinks. You are strong enough. Of course, as long as you're not trying to stretch too many hoops at once. Blade strength was very good. Thin enough to get in and out of, but not sharp or pointy. I've worked with large irons and it was very…

You need this tool if you are not a professional tire changer

Bought this tool after decades of changing off-road motorcycle tires using standard tire changers. This is a great tool for installing the bottom/lower bead of a tire. The unique curvature of the tool allows the bottom bead to be pulled over the rim when the tire is first fitted. There are videos on YouTube demonstrating this technique. I didn't realize how much easier it would be to use a curved bracket as attaching the tailgate was always the hardest part for me. You can also use it to…
