Putting the cork in the bottle is very easy, the main problem I had was that the seals were difficult to make even and smooth. This makes these freshly sealed bottles difficult to use as gifts or for sale. I didn't even take the bottles I sealed on the cruise for fear they would be thrown away.

Pros
  • ❤ Economical: Capping bottles with this manual capper is economical and efficient.
Cons
  • So far so good

Not the best option for filling and capping

It only fits smaller corks that fit old soda bottles, larger corks get stuck in the plastic, we used large corks the last time we corked wine and used wine bottles seal very well. I am afraid these smaller caps will not fit wider bottle caps and may leak. Also, the tool doesn't fit the bottle snugly enough, so it moves around a lot while you're trying to drive the cork into the bottle. It can be a little tricky to align the cork correctly. Luckily I didn't need these plugs for a couple of…

Pros
  • ❤ Two sizes sleeve: small for a straight neck bottle, large for a flip top bottle.
Cons
  • Minor issues

Filled with chemicals, otherwise five stars

I would give this kit 5 stars if it weren't for the toxic saturation of the chemicals used to make this product. The design of this unit is practical and would be a great deal for the price and the items you get, however the chemicals used do not fully cure and all the items in the set are soaked in it including quarks which I cannot use. I thought maybe I could separate each item, pull them out, and hopefully get rid of the chemicals by putting them in the sun, but that was hopeless, and I…

Pros
  • ❤ EASY TO USE - A set of manual wine stoppers makes it easy to cap any wine bottle!
Cons
  • Fading

Hard material, but it smells, and the hammer is absolutely useless

I received this item a few days before it was ready to be bottled and had a strong chemical odor like fuel. I soaked it for a few days hoping the smell would dissipate when I needed it, by then the smell was mostly gone. I had regular wine bottles so one of the pieces fit perfectly in the neck of the bottle, I had a different style bottle, a moonshine type jug which none of the pieces fit. When it came time to bottle, I found I had to pop the cork and spray a piece onto the bottle to allow the…

Pros
  • ❤ How to use: Put the cork through the white two-dimensional cap, then tap the awl with a rubber mallet.
