I bought this memory to build an Asus Prime B350 Plus / Ryzen 5 1600 computer. I originally wanted to go with 16GB and ordered a Corsair Vengeance RGB LED 16GB DDR4 3000 C15 Kit (P/N: CMR16GX4M2C3000C15 ) here on Revain as it was on the motherboard qualified supplier list, but I was only able to get it . Working on 2133 which was bad for me as the QVL had a version number after the P/N and I assumed I would get the latest version through a wholesaler like Revain and ended up getting an earlier…

Pros
  • Hand tested performance chips; DHX Cooling
Cons
  • Can I add something

. The price went up about $100, but the memory slowed down), this didn't solve the problem. Reverting from 1920X to 1950X (price dropped about $200 in the end, net $100 "saved" but wasted for a month) ended up with slower memory but more cores and a working system. The Dominator series (when installing 4 of 8, 64GB on 1920X) passed the RowHammer test (potential problem with ALL DDR4 or DDR3 RAM), while the Vengeance 128GB passed all tests, but only so far gave a RowHammer bug (possibly flipping

Pros
  • . Compatible with Corsair Link
Cons
  • . Definitely bad product.

D-don't die! Changed version number (not listed) but same model number

NOT Samsung b-die. This list applies to version 5.xx. The timings are 15-17-18-35 from SK Hynix and they were removed as m-die. It is NOT 15-15-15-34 like version 4.xx. And they listed "Corsair" deceptively under the manufacturer code, I had to do an incredible amount of work to figure out why I can't get tighter timings for POST when the model number on my mobile device manufacturer's QVL list b-dies as Samsung. . Apparently they kept the same model number and CAS delay as the old version 4…

Pros
  • Speed: 2666 MHz, Density: 128 GB (8x16 GB) Memory modules
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Not compatible with Ryzen

I had to read the Ryzen memory compatibility forums. They are made for Intel processors. I have version 5 where Hynix dies. My PC with Ryzen 7 2700X processor and Gigabyte X470 AORUS Ultra Gaming motherboard does not boot with XMP profile installed. The best I could get was 2733MHz and 15-15-15-36 at 1.2 volts and 2933MHz and 15-15-15-35 at 1.35 volts (I had to check the DRAM voltage and the CAS - Set timings manually). So if you have a Ryzen processor, get 3200 CL14 or faster with Samsung…

Pros
  • Custom lightbar
Cons
  • No form required
