Powerful, efficient, expensive

Great power supply, but really expensive for what it is. I don't really need a fancy canvas bag or interchangeable magnets on the side, but whatever. The thing is insanely effective. I'm showing around 94-95% efficiency on my system with three GPUs connected. I really like the included software, but wish it could show watts per connection - at the moment it can only show amps per connection. However, it shows the overall performance of the system. This is the goalkeeper.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • New competition is here

Inaccurate photo of available 6+2 PCI-e ports

Inaccurate number of modular ports in product photo. The HX750 "NO LINK Compatibility" that I received is a pretty good modular power supply, but instead of the five PCI-E 6+2 slots pictured, only four are available. Since this section of the PSU is labeled "PCI-E 6+2 / CPU 4+4", it means you only need three PCI-E slots and one to power the processor. Of course, the included dual-ended PCI-E cables double, but that just means you're doubling the load on one cable for two cards, which is…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in black

KING OF 1600 WATT POWER ADAPTER

MUST BUY! great for crypto miners running 24/7 with their 10+ 1080 ti configuration (requires 2 power supplies). The efficiency at 10x1080 ti is 93-94%. Released in January 2018, this power supply has better technology than the typical EVGA Supernova 1600 that was released in 2014, 4 years ago. It's very quiet! it's compact and they use gallium nitride for their transistors and they all will follow suit. The voltage regulation is amazing thanks to their Corsair connection. If you know you won't

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Good but not great

AX1600i Terrible Corsair support

I bought 4 AX1600i, each PSU is the only power supply for 3 GPUs. We bought this PSU mainly for its claimed control abilities but they don't work and Corsair support is there. nothing but terrible. I called support 4 times because the Corsair driver wouldn't start and they gave all sorts of ridiculous troubleshooting steps like disabling all my NvMEs, one of which was being used as a boot device. When I mentioned that it was my boot device and NvME program files, it prompted me to reinstall…

Cons
  • Some little things

Many people underestimate the value of a power supply unit (PSU). I cringe when I see good, expensive builds with overclocked CPUs, high-end GPUs like 1070-1080tis and Vega, lots of water-cooled fans, RGB and the like, and then I see a cheap nameless or budget PSU. Sure they saved a few bucks but are wondering why overclocking on the CPU or GPU is unstable or the system freezes and reboots randomly. Not all power supplies are created equal, not all power supplies can deliver their rated power…

Stay away! These PS are now scrap!

Has been working Corsair PS for years. The last self lasted a good 8 years before it died. Replaced it with an 850i this February. In mid-July, the running system simply switched itself off. Lights came on, fans and everything, but then they went out. I wasn't there long enough to even get any zip codes. No warnings, nothing squeaks. Everything was pulled out of the system piece by piece down to the core. All the same. Occasionally when this happened, the system booted up fine the next day and…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I don't mind, everything is fine

This is a big serious PSU Corsair

I've been using Corsair power supplies for 13 years and have never had a single problem with any of the devices I've built from them (including some for family and friends). I have a couple of old x58 I7-980x computers that have been in constant use for ten years and are running on an older AX1200, the same big rebuilt power supply as the HX1200. Like the old AX1200, this HX1200 is mainly built with high quality Japanese capacitors. Aside from this power supply being 80+ Platinum certified, a…

1200W at your service

I bought a 1200W power supply, I don't think I need that much power, but as the saying goes, you can't have too much power, right? This power supply is deeper than a standard ATX power supply. Very good power supply, looks solid. I get 87% efficiency, other reviewers report higher efficiency, needs a little more research. System, anyway I just took a mini-USB cable (I didn't use the one that came with it) out of the computer and plugged it into any external USB 2.0 port, bingo! If you want to…
