iCue is memory malware

iCue is required for RGB setup but can be used for almost anything. It is aggressive, can take up over 1GB and stealthily installs 5-7 programs that consume resources and can noticeably slow down performance on budget installs. All I wanted was to change the damn RGB lighting, little did I know that buying this RAM would expose me to unwanted monitoring and marketing from Corsair. These modules are also high-end and incompatible with a number of popular aftermarket CPU coolers that are…

Pros

Cons

A Class B product from Revain?

I bought two Corsair RGB 3200MHz RAM packs of 2 x 8GB, one from Revain and one from BB. BB arrived first and installed with no problems, 16GB was automatically recognized at 3200MHz with XMP. The Revain RAM arrived and after installing just 32GB my RAM speed dropped to 2133MHz. After using the computer for a while, Windows crashes with a blue screen of death. The computer did not boot back into Windows. After 2 hours of troubleshooting I removed the Revain RAM and restored Windows. A week later

Pros
  • Custom Performance PCB
Cons
  • Can I add something?

Works great with AMD 3950X and X570 motherboards

Don't be a fool, reset your BIOS/CMOS/UEFI settings to default before installing this kit! Who has two thumbs up and installs RAM without checking if the timings have been updated? This guy! :) Memory works great with AMD Ryzen 9 3950X and Asus ROG Strix X570-E gaming motherboard (BIOS version 2407). I ran Memtest86 for ten hours (2 full runs) to ensure RAM was running smoothly before booting into Windows 10. I ran some 3DMark tests to make sure the RAM could handle gaming. beautiful colors…

Pros
  • Maximum bandwidth and fast response time

Just in case this will help someone

So I got these for my build and ran into a small issue I didn't mention. I used Ryzen 2700x with ASROCK x370m Pro4 motherboard. and 32GB of these flash drives (3200). You are not in QVL. At first I entered all 4 at once, didn't even go into the BIOS, just got stuck at boot. I've tried a few things such as only 2 at a time for each pair, same problem. I made sure everything was plugged in and even double-checked to make sure the processor was properly seated. Everything looked fine, but the…

RGB LEDs can cause unusual errors with iCUE

The last item with multiple blinking lights was my toy robot. when I was 4 years old. The fascination with RGB LEDs with flashing lights on every computer component seems downright silly for the most part. I only bought this particular model because I needed two 32GB sticks and have used the Corsair Vengeance in the past with good results. I installed them correctly and they work great on my Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 motherboard. By default, the LEDs are set to a slow "breathing" cycle…

Pros
  • SPD voltage: 1.2V

  • not reliable
