Great cord for making pillows and pillowcases to order!

I bought it to make my own code tape for making pillow cases and pillowcases. It was packaged securely in a nice paper envelope with bubble wrap, was shipped very quickly and arrived undamaged. This appears to be a great quality product and complete with pure cotton piping there is enough yards to make tons of pillowcases and pillowcases (by my calculations I can make 18+ large 20" pillowcases with this string). Cons
  • Some little things

It was too thick for my normal upholstery needs. I'm a beginner in upholstery and just figured it out. Noticed the normal size is smaller. Check with your teacher first or get a piece of old twine from a fabric store to get the right size. This material (any size) untangles and wears like crazy! Make as few cuts as possible and see how to solve the chafing problem in cord making. I'm trying cotton-poly blend corduroy, which is a bit stiffer and easier to work with. It's still wearing out maybe…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

For the intended use, the additional casing would be a plus, keeping everything clean no matter how roughly the cable is handled until covered. For my purposes of making absorbent pads, this addition was not very helpful. This caused the piping to repel moisture, causing the coasters to either stick to the glass or drain moisture onto the tabletop. In the end, I found I could safely wash the "glue" out of…
