This tubing is exactly as advertised except no sizing or other additions are mentioned. For the intended use, the additional casing would be a plus, keeping everything clean no matter how roughly the cable is handled until covered. For my purposes of making absorbent pads, this addition was not very helpful. This caused the piping to repel moisture, causing the coasters to either stick to the glass or drain moisture onto the tabletop. In the end, I found I could safely wash the "glue" out of the plumbing with Dawn dish soap in less than an inch of warm water. Too hot, too much water or too much pressure (etc. ) and the pipe is broken. In the end I'm happy enough.
