I used to use this product regularly then switched to powder filler which also covers gray hair very well but wears out fairly quickly. I thought I might try this touch up pen again as I used to like it. Well, they must have changed something about it. I've been ordering these for my mum for a while and sometimes the sticks are dark brown and smell good and work great and sometimes they're too light, medium brown instead of dark or dark brown and smell funny and too dry. Where the color doesn't wash out and doesn't work without adding a lot of oil to the hair. Great for in between! Excellent coverage when you sweep the stick side to side over gray hair (not like you're painting). You have to be careful pulling scarves, pillowcases and shirts over your hair - they will get dirty!

I like it. I have naturally curly hair to my advantage but I feel like it makes my hair greasy even after washing. Straight hair can make this even more obvious. It doesn't stop me from using it! This is just an observation I made as it has an almost chalky texture so the consistency is applied to your roots. Overall I like it and I recommended it to my friend.

I love this product. My hair is very messy with braids and when it grows out the gray really comes through. This product helps me to paint over my gray hair nicely without changing my hairstyle.
