When you want confidence in a vacuum without question

I never had my own vacuum gauge, have only used a compound pressure gauge on my manifold, never again of course the compound pressure gauge gives you an idea if you are pulling into a vacuum, this micron pressure gauge really tells you where you are are you are, I have been troubleshooting my mini split (high pressure) systems. 5 evaporators on 2 condensers to find leaks. The good thing about measuring the vacuum with this gauge is that if there is a leak it lets you know immediately withoutโ€ฆ

Pros
  • ACCURACY โ€“ Calibrated to stringent NIST standards for best-in-class accuracy and reliability.
Cons
  • Something else

Yes, like everyone else. mine flows.

Used it a total of 3 times in one year and it started leaking. Tried swapping seals, even spent money on two different types just to confirm. suction cleaned. There are no burrs or scratches on the mating surfaces. Tried two different 20 micron Appion check valves with and without the pusher. oiled seals. Nothing, it's still flowing. 6 hours spent on it. There was a small crack in the plastic casing as it was in an air conditioned room, in a stationary tool box, in its own box, in a box with aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • EASY TO READ. Permanent digital display of the evacuation process on a large, easy-to-read 5-digit LCD display.
Cons
  • Expensive

The perfect addition to my arsenal

I'm studying the air conditioning trade and amending my toolbox. I know some things you can "cheat" on when you start and others you can't. A Micron sensor is required and this does exactly what it is supposed to do. Very easy to use. The interface is simple and intuitive, the only thing I needed to reference the book for was what the different [LCD] segments mean when they change states. (You'll find that they mean they change state as the vacuum is pulled deeper, and roughly tell you when you

Pros
  • EASY TO CLEAN - A sensor that can be cleaned in the field and withstands 400 psi positive pressure.
Cons
  • I'm silent

Vacuum requires patience.

First, the polarity of the battery installation is clearly marked by having one copper terminal on the device wider than the other. You simply fit the wider lead of your 9 volt battery into the meter's battery slot with the wider copper lead. Second, to those who say these devices leak, do you really know how the micrometer reacts after the vacuum pump shuts off? Or has air/nitrogen/refrigerant/moisture entered the cooling oil? Vacuum gauges were never designed to detect leaks and they are notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • SMART DESIGN โ€” Advanced sensor design with self-heating thermistor bridge and automatic temperature compensation.
Cons
  • High price
