It doesn't stay in the bottle.

This earplug is true to size; however, it does not remain in the bottle. The material looks different than what I bought at my local homebrew shop. Whatever it is, it will slowly slide out and not stay in the 1-gallon coal. A complete waste of money.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • No color required

Cannot recommend this

. If you stick them up a wet throat and fit an airlock, it's very easy to push the cork straight into the wine where it should stay until you pour the wine. These plugs don't have enough to give into them. I solved the problem by buying plastic balloon plugs with a center hole for the sluice.

Pros
  • . Not cheap but decent.
Cons
  • . Not the best.

Excellent stopper, insert the lock first.

Perfect for a few liter glass apple juice jugs and all cheap glass wine jugs. I had a couple of glass apple juice jugs that were too wide for it. If the hole is less than 1 inch, you should be fine. Always put the cap in the cork first and then the cork in the pot. I slipped one through the mouth of the jug and tried to get the stopper in the cork when it was already in the jug.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • A few little things

Fits perfectly in a 4 liter jug

Making cider at home and opting for a 4 liter jug that used to come with cheap wine from the supermarket. As other reviewers have said, it fits perfectly in the mouth of a 1 gallon jug and stays in place. I like that it's real rubber and not the hardened plastic that some corks are made of. Any of the three section locks will also work with this guy, so it's a very well-rounded piece for home brewing.

soluble in gasoline

So I ordered them as mentioned in a youtube video describing how to remove ethanol from gasoline. If you're wondering, yes it works. Children do not try at home. In case you're wondering, 10% ethanol is bad for small engines. Let it sit for a while and the ethanol will crystallize in anything with a carburetor, and no, enzymes or stabilizers won't work. Anyhow, these plugs, while they worked in my test, tended to disintegrate on contact with gasoline. So I am trying to refine the design of my…

FITS 1 GALLONE JAR

I bought this set of 3 for our 1 gallon wine jugs that we use to make "water kefir" (used in our homemade ginger beer). They are drilled for liquid filled "airlocks" which you order separately. These #6 corks are just under an inch in diameter at the bottom or narrow end and fit bottles snugly and snugly. We've had a few contaminated beers in the past due to bacterial or wild yeast invasion, which is just too much work and a waste of ingredients. These hard rubber stoppers put an end to that…

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

They are perfect for the Carlo Rossi wine jug and ideal for making plum wine. They slide in and out easily as long as you don't push them too far. These plugs also easily fit 3-piece airlocks. I had an issue where I pushed the cork too deep into the bottle* (see removal tip below) and this resulted in the airlock not working properly (air couldn't escape) and a very messy explosion of wine inside the bottle. the kitchen. Luckily the airlock flew out along with LOTS of fermenting plum wine and…
