Craig CD6951 SL Portable Top Loading Cassette Review

The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I feel like it needs a better antenna. Poor reception of radio stations. It doesn't have a remote control. Bought mainly to play discs and cassettes.

My father in law is 93 and we bought this for his birthday. He likes listening to polka and has many cassettes and CDs. He likes the sound and the ease of use. This is a great product!

No Radio Display - No Radio! There is no way of knowing which station you are at. Multiple calls to Craig's company only resulted in them being passed off as someone else. A similar issue with a customer service representative with a single "Really?" No offer to exchange or return my product with a manufacturer defect. It took over a dozen attempts before the CD could finally be played.

It will play your cassettes but be careful, make sure the cassette is in 'new' or 'like new' condition or this little suction cup will swallow! He's already eaten some of my tapes! The CD works well and is quite loud for its size. There's little bass, so the sound quality isn't very good. It just doesn't look like it was made to last. Let's see how long it lasts!

The sound is not very good. Feels like a toy player. The 89 year old woman I bought this for hooked everything up today 23rd January 2021 and tried to play one of her favorite cassettes in it and she played well in the first part then she started, the music and the voices pulling into a trill was worse than terrible. I bought this because it was a Craig product. What I didn't notice when I bought it is that you can't see what radio station you're tuning into. So you have to guess to find stations and there is no option to save the station, you have to try to find it again with the wheel tuner. . Everything played on it after trying it, but I have no reason to think it will last a while. I had 3 other cassette players that failed at the same time, but they were over 30 years old.
