Worked like a charm on a steep hill

It wasn't supposed to be snow, but this is the Midwest and our steep (should be 60 degrees) driveway was covered in snow. We slipped them on over our existing shoes, parked the car on the sidewalk, and drove home. The spikes also protected us on this steep slope, or rather on the slope! Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Save money to climb

I had high hopes for them. In the winter I went to Utah. There was ice in many places. I couldn't tell these ice grips apart from my regular hiking boots. I still slipped on the ice. In addition, every few meters the spine slipped and part of the spike fell off. I recommend spikes with chains.

  • Easy installation

They work but putting them on is another matter

They work but I've noticed my shoes slip when they get wet. Also, you have to put them on correctly or they will pop out. Unscrew what sometimes slips out and you can lose it. However, they give you an add-on package. They are ok, but I was hoping for a little better wearing comfort.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

They work! best in cats

My brother in law laughed when he opened his Christmas present and couldn't figure out what it was until I told him. He was joking when he texted me a few weeks later saying it was snowing in Seattle and he used it on his tennis shoes. He didn't have snowshoes. Worked great for the rare occasions when it was needed. Much cheaper and takes up less space than winter boots that don't wear enough.

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Highly recommended! for climbing

It works! Just what I needed for my frigid morning walks with my 65 lb dog who loves to pull me when he sees his buddies. I usually wear a women's size 9.5/10 and ordered a large one. They go perfectly with my snowshoes. I'd say when in doubt, downsize to ensure preferred fit (too loose and you'll lose it). cleaned - they were perfect on all these surfaces. I felt safe. Until I move away and never see that *&%# white thing again, I'm gonna wear this!

Undemanding good for climbing

These micro cleats are great for snowy/icy trails but not for areas with thicker snow (snowshoes or crampons with cleats work best). The spikes on this product are not sharp spikes but rather flattened studs that are about a quarter inch deep. These are not simple microspikes. I ordered according to her recommended shoe size and sewed the heels on further because they just came off after a short distance. So you can imagine my frustration with frequent stops to adjust and reattach the heel…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't say anything
