If you don't want to buy the much more expensive version (which still has a drill) and want to be slow and use the right amount of force to pull it in, this works great.

This tool works very well but the drill bit needs some tweaking. The grip gets a little tight as the grip also rotates when a power drill is attached. Otherwise it works perfectly and the snake is easy to extend and retract.

I had a clog between my sink and the main drain. I tried an old snake I had laying around just to try to get through the blockage. After 1/2 hour I gave up and bought this one instead. Worked like a dream with a drill attached. The blockage was cleared in 10 minutes. Perfect for this type of work.

This metal snake is good in its own right, but the winding mechanism is no better in design and workmanship than a free cereal box toy. I knew it was the cheapest, but assuming it would only be used once every few years, I went with it. Big mistake, this is complete crap. DOA has arrived. I'm trying to fix it now instead of waiting a week to use our shower.

Broke on first use. Such tools should be made of high quality spring steel, but this is not. During initial use, the wire twisted in the tube when only about 7 feet were inserted. When I pulled it out it had a few curves that were permanent, I couldn't straighten it out. Every time I try to use it it just curls up in the tube. Also because of one of the bends I can only pull 7 feet out of the drum. It's worth buying something more expensive that can actually work.
