At first I was angry. I installed the drivers and followed the instructions but I had no sound at all. It was uncomfortable. I ran Creative's own driver update software and it says I have the latest drivers. I've rebooted several times to no avail and was about to erase and send it back when I tried to open Device Manager. The instructions and the CD that came with it were for Windows 8. For Windows 10 you have to do things a little differently. You should definitely not use the CD as it contains outdated software. Other reviewers have said you have to go into the BIOS to disable onboard audio, but I found this unnecessary and it's best not to go into the BIOS. Basically a variant of the Sound Blaster Audigy 2, except it uses a PCIe slot instead of PCI. Works great on latest Linux/ALSA versions with built-in snd_emu10k1 driver. It was automatically detected and activated without additional driver installation.
