The SIMPLE SLIDE BACK COVER allows prongs within the cap to make contact easily and safely to stringer wire or existing lighting sets. The SPT plug is capable of HANDLING UPTO 8 AMPS and 125 volts and is UL listed for indoor/outdoor use. Single Female Electrical Plug

Bought for a small project that needed small caps. The plug is polarized but not grounded (only 2 pins, not 3). Simple structure and easy installation. No stripping required. Simply loop the lamp cord over each wire on the back of the unit, then slide the back cover into place. This forces the wire against the terminals. This is for stranded wire only, not solid.

  • These work on the ends of the lamp cord but have a break away tab which can be removed to allow the plugs to be used as built in plugs or routed through plugs in series if you prefer.
