great alternative

I have a laptop with an original sound card, the mainboard is defective. PCMCIA and the Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS is a suitable and more powerful alternative to replacing the entire motherboard to solve a sound problem. I am satisfied with this less expensive solution to the problem. Thanks and regards, Gustavo.

Great sound upgrade for your laptop

I used an old laptop as a player for my collection of CDs that were backed up to an external hard drive (using Monkey's lossless audio compression). Surprisingly good! - Internal Sound Cards

My Compaq V2000 onboard audio has been disabled. I was looking for PCMCIA sound cards when I saw that this 3 year old laptop motherboard replacement would cost over $400. I read some good reviews on this card and Revain had the best price so I went with it. It works fantastic. The sound quality is on a completely different level than the built-in sound chips. With a good pair of headphones, you'll hear things you didn't even know existed, especially bass and treble. I've also tried it with my…
