Messy Melted Plastic Waffles: Avoid

As my tests showed, the waffle grid in this kit is flimsy and doesn't handle the heat well at all. When I tried melting plastic on it, the waffles started curling up and warping, making a horrible mess. The one positive note is that the translucent material makes it easier to see what you're working on. However, the cons heavily outweigh this and make this product not worth the purchase.

Great for cutting glass circles

I bought this specifically for cutting glass circles. It's perfect for that, the best interface I've found so far. Immediately went from 50% success to about 90%. If you're having trouble cutting glass circles, buy one of these. Easy to use and catches most broken glass, making cleanup that much easier.

There is no point in buying a grid, especially if you are into fine arts.

New glass artist here. I wasn't sure if I wanted this or not, so I settled on a single grid. Also, I'm currently working on smaller sun catchers. So I bought what I thought was essential. We can always expand our set for the future. So. I don't have a spare spot for my glass yet, so I wanted to be safer with the shards. This is not a failure! He really collects all those little invisible pieces of glass! It makes me feel a lot better under my cutter. A grid really helps when you're working on…
