They don't last very long

I bought 8 of these bulbs and each of them failed in less than 2 years. Some burned down in less than a year. Cree gives a 10 year warranty on the bulbs and they will send replacements, but making a warranty claim is a hassle and it takes 2-3 weeks to get a new bulb. Don't expect these lamps to last more than 2 years.

Worth the cost; bright, high-quality light

These bulbs cost extra if you need a little more brightness, especially with high ceilings. We have 9 foot ceilings and I wanted a brighter light over our master shower. This one is perfect and provides the extra light we need and makes a nice impression too. pure shades. It's significantly brighter than the 65W LED equivalent it replaced and is the perfect amount of light for the room and ceiling height. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and I hope the lamp will last as long as LEDs
