A very good quality. - Hand tool

Good plumbing tool and gives you a different angle for use on hydraulic and pneumatic fittings than adjustable wrenches.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Updates available

Very easy mode only.

I had high hopes for this as it was a crescent mark. Jaws do not hold position during use. It's thin and bends with little effort. It feels like it will break easily. Wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Good to use
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great little adjustable wrench with wide opening

Great little adjustable wrench with extra wide opening. However, you may feel that the handle is too short if you're trying to rotate something larger than necessary just because the jaws adjust to it.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No automatic

The ideal automatic wrench for misplaced large nuts.

Popular but not suitable for nuts over 35 ft-lbs of torque. You cannot use cheat bars. Grabs only two sides of the nut. Uncomfortable to get really comfortable. This is not a precision tool as the scroll control has a very long thread.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Expandable

Poor quality for the Crescent brand.

Dude, sad to see what has happened to Crescent quality since they moved production to China. The build quality of this button leaves a lot to be desired. The mechanism is loose, the casting/machining is poor and the jaw does not fit well when closed. I'm sending this back and I find a used vintage 'Made in USA' key made by people who care about quality.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Poor quality item

New out of box, this item had issues. The knob that you use to adjust the wrench has a pin that holds it in place. Well, this pen is held in place and prevented from falling out by a metal projection, so to speak, a recess that is deliberately pressed in at the factory. The only problem is that my pen just falls out because the factory didn't make this deformation large enough to prevent the pen from falling out. This defect renders the tool quite unusable.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Nothing

Crescent C715 Automatic Adjustable Wrench

I haven't had these keys since I was a kid and they were called Ford keys. I like the power of this tool for a variety of jobs. I would not call this tool "Precision Machining" as in the description. The wrench I received only opened 3/4 because there was no tooth gap for the thumbscrew to turn. I was able to use my thin 3" cutting wheel to increase the spacing. Now I have full power with a moving sponge. The key size as received was 2.5" and now after finishing the total power is 3 .6875 in…

Crescent C715 Car Shift Wrench

I haven't had these wrenches since I was a kid and they were called Ford wrenches. I love the way this tool works for a variety of jobs I wouldn't call this tool "precision machining" as the wrench I received was described as only opening 3/4 of the jar as there is no gap between the teeth for the knurled head screw to turn I was able to increase the gap with my thin 3" cut-off wheel. Now I have full power with the slide block. Wrench size when received was 2.5" and now after revision the full…

Pros
  • Large capacity 3" 76mm jaws easily grip a variety of fasteners
Cons
  • No Instructions

When you need a wrench, nothing else will do.

Crescent C718 18" Monkey/Engineer Wrench A wrench is a specialized tool that can perform many jobs that other wrenches cannot. Flat, smooth jaws with a large opening area allow the wrench to be adapted to many sizes of nuts bolts pipe fittings etc scrape the material you are working on Smooth jaws leave no marks and ensure a tight fit Crescent make good wrenches at a reasonable price I have a set ranging from small to large and use them every day. They get the job done and work where no other…

Made in China, rough surface, not the same quality.

I have owned a variety of Crescent brand tools over the years and have always been willing to pay the extra money for a USA made tool with a lifetime warranty. US Brand Crescent tools have a consistent finish with a tight mechanism, giving you a quality tool that will not gall or damage the fasteners you use it on. When this key arrived I was dismayed to see MADE IN CHINA in big letters. The first thing that struck me was the rough casting of the tool, I didn't even take it out of the box but…

Pros
  • Smooth jaws will not damage delicate fasteners such as chrome and brass fittings.
Cons
  • High price.
