I bought 8 issues with 4

I bought 8 of these because they have high transfer speeds especially if you use them for SSDs. I used 4 cards in 4GB motherboards and they all hang after reboot. Sometimes I reboot and it boots into Windows, but sometimes they hang before Windows loads and freeze. ) X570 AORUS ULTRA freezes in 3 out of 4

Works on my Ubuntu Supermicro system. The blue LEDs are very bright.

I liked that it was plug and play on my Ubuntu system so I could install a bunch of hard drives from an earlier system to than To act as an online archive of my work. I didn't like the board's extremely bright blue LEDs, which make it difficult to use when you need a dark room. I wish there was a way to turn them off. At the moment I'm looking for ways to close the LEDs.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Not sure

There are no drivers. Windows 10 Home is unstable.

The whole system is unstable with this card. Windows 10 Home. Boot disk does not work. It works with 4 drives on a Windows software RAID. I tried installing the drivers and it made things worse. I remove the card and throw it in the trash can. I haven't tried contacting support, but I've spent hours trying to fix this problem myself.

Computer failed POST

I was glad to receive my new hard drive controller. Unfortunately, after connecting the device to the computer, the computer freezes when the device is turned on. It looks like it didn't even run the power-on self-test (POST). I turned off and on again. Same result. I took the card out of the PCIe x4 slot and put it back in. POST is still missing. This is a Gigabyte motherboard (model B360M-DS3H Rev. 1.0) - a fairly ordinary board, but when it was powered on it just looked at me. Instead of…

Works fine no problems

I modified this on my NAS to replace a similar SATA expansion card I got with a NewEgg which ended up with only one working SATA port. My system recognized it automatically and I had no problems with it. This card has been working flawlessly since I installed it. The speed is reliable and allows me to have the required number of hard drives in the NAS without having to spend money to replace all hard drives with much larger capacity drives when spare parts become scarce (and expensive) post…

Installation prevented Windows 7 from loading

My experience was similar to that described in Robert Kloosterkemper's review. I replaced two different working PCIe x4 NVME adapters (one is a CREST IO card) for this product to work after receiving it yesterday. I could not boot Windows 7 (on the motherboard SATA RAID controller) with this card in either slot. I've tried using Macrium Redeploy to see if I can fix the startup issues but to no avail. The Revain return process was usually efficient and I ordered another card.

Pros
  • Eventually purchased
Cons
  • Will be added later
