🔧 Cricut 2006695 CORE Color Basic Tools Review

I was skeptical about this purchase and wondered if I was just paying for the Cricut brand or if it was worth it. Well, it fully justified its price. I've been a handyman most of my life so I can say quality when it comes to tools and scissors. I am very impressed with this set.

I recently got a Cricut machine and was dying to get some things for it, especially these tools. They're great for picking things up off your cutting mats so you don't mess up your work by trying to pick them up with your hands. But when I went to the craft stores these tools were about TWICE more expensive than the ones I bought from Revain for EXACTLY the same. I went with this mint set and I love them so much! Nice soft color and they all work great. Very happy with my purchase.

This tool set is ideal if you are just getting started with die cutting machines. The scissors are very sharp although I wish they were longer because it doesn't help much when cutting large projects. Other tools are very useful for simple to moderately complex projects. For more detailed projects, I suggest buying a weed kit or finding out what else you can use. The reason for this is that the hook is useless when pulling out parts that are very close to parts that don't need to be removed…

I bought this set because it was on sale at a good price and I needed to replace some of my original tools. The scissors in this set are nowhere near as sharp as the scissors in the very first set I bought from Cricut. I've included a photo to show the tips of the scissors. The old pair has a (really) sharp, pointed tip, while the new pair has a more rounded and blunt tip. I also found that the new pair didn't slide as smoothly when cutting. I bought a set to save some money on the individual purchase. I watched the video before purchasing and realized I needed all the other tools to learn how to make vinyls from our new Cricut. I thought the scissors were just an added "bonus". LOVE other tools and it's a great value. But scissors don't seem to cut butter. I have child safety scissors that cut better!
