Condiment for cast iron

Ideal for maintaining cast iron. I used to use squeeze tubes - they're messy - makes application much easier. I keep a few for use in the kitchen and with my camping gear. Good product!

BEST PRODUCT EVER Best in Tableware Accessories Category

Love it! My cast iron has not lost nicer. Nothing sticks, nothing sticks before, but now it's even better. Easy to use! The photos I've included are of bacon wrapped chicken chops and a skillet just wiped out (photo). I washed it under hot water, dried it on a burner and covered it with a layer of crisbe (photo). And finally, a photo of a reflection in a frying pan! I will never be without him. It won't take long, but a little is enough! GOOD PRODUCT!

The best I've ever used!

I have a 1929 Griswold #8 Large Block pan and never got a nice jet black patina until I used Crisbee. What a fantastic product. I used the stovetop method, increasing the heat to medium until the pan was lightly smoky, then adding very light layers of crisbee a few times at a time with paper towels to keep it slightly smoky and brown. The pan looks great and is as smooth as any Teflon. I would recommend Crisbee to any other oil or product out there.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Safety

Tame the texture of the house with this material.

I have been using cast iron extensively for about 10 years. While I know the ins and outs of cast iron, there have been some issues with making a good seasoning. Especially on Lodge cast iron and factory finish/seasoning which has a fairly rough finish. I've tried different methods with varying results (yes, even the flaxseed that eventually came off). Eventually I started sanding the texture which made the break-in process a lot easier. I recently added a Dutch Oven and a couple of CI bread…

miracle product. It forms a slippery layer but doesn't look like it

I was a longtime cast iron (CI) user who tried almost anything to create layers of spice. Nothing seems to work *permanently* but this product is fantastic. Note: Layering spices with crisbee doesn't necessarily make it smooth or shiny. However, if you look at the surface, it's slippery and doesn't appear to be sticky. Tip #1 For all chi newbies: Step 1: Heat a chi skillet to medium heat or hotter. Step 2 Wait a minute or two for the pan to heat up. Step 3: Add vegetable oil or butter BEFORE…
