Broke after the first gust of wind.

Follow the instructions. He hung up his awning, and three days later it burst at the first light gust of wind. I think you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Very light material, poor welds.

Broken before fully sinking into the ground, poor welds, thin material. If you use in sand they can work. I couldn't trust them.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Useless features

Great item for a 4x4 rack, sturdy for standalone use

The extra length provides solid support for my Christmas cross. Even with wind speeds of 40-50mph lately. No digging or dirty cement!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Requires socket

Conveniently made from building materials

We bought 8 pieces. 5 out of 8 are smaller and will not work on a 4x4 pole. Impossible to keep them straight by pounding them with a sledgehammer. We have two fallen apart where welded. Save money. Buy a pole excavator, dig a hold and fill the pole with cement. Huge waste of time and money.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Cheap Material - Connector

Purchased to install 4x4 luggage rack. All four bent about 6 inches from the full seat. I went and bought the same one (in a different material) at a home store and they all fitted with no problems. The material is too cheap. Savings Welds aren't up to par either. Now I'm stuck buying two sets.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Functionality

great when you can't dig a hole

fence along many old trees, digging is not an option due to the many roots. Used about 36 of them. used a 4x4 piece and a hammer to start them. I tried it with a sledgehammer but it did more damage (hard clay, roots and rocks). I ended up using a jackhammer and a special bit to hammer this style of post and it worked fantastic. I use 8ft posts so I went with a 36" anchor, they will swing much more than a post in concrete but given that I would risk damaging a lot of trees to put up this fence ,

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I vaguely remember installing a
