Works Good!: Computer Components

Very useful for finding out what works and what doesn't! It wouldn't hurt to have it handy when working on the computer. It also allows the PSU to work without the obligatory motherboard and it works well (even in continuous use, it lasted a long time).

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Anything I can add

Does what it should.

I built a drive bay for 24 x 8 TB hard drives. I needed an ATX power supply to power the drives, but I didn't have a motherboard that included the power supply. This stub allowed me to build this shelf and have everything work as intended.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • High price

GREAT TOOL FOR CHECKING COMPUTER POWER SUPPLY AND AT A REASONABLE PRICE

My husband's computer died recently and he first thought it was the power supply. We ordered one from Revain and it had a jumper tool that made it easy to check power. Unfortunately it wasn't a power supply, but he really liked the tool...so we found and bought this one. He used it to test his new computer and said he wished he'd heard about this tool a while ago! If you are interested in computers, this is a GREAT tool to have in your computer toolbox.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

He's doing his job

This power supply jumper is much better in the long run than using a paper clip. Yes, you can use a paperclip to connect the power supply, but something like this is much better if you want to do more than just a quick test. I use it with a spare PSU to test RGB light strips and fans before installing them in my computer and I enjoy using it much more than using a PSU jumper clip.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Better than cables

Great for making the PSU appear connected to the motherboard. I only use this to power the hard drives and fans in the rack. This works a lot better than just sticking the wire into the pins as it needs to stay secure.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Perfect solution for

Simple solutions are better solutions. I use this to connect multiple Corsair, Seasonic and be quiet! Power supplies for a variety of uses, from powering a fan kit to blow out the dust my CNC and laser cutters create, to fans used in a custom Mac mini rack. Typical exhaust fans are very noisy, so instead of the standard options I went with a fan stack with Noctua and am silent 120-140mm fans. With a SATA powered PWM hub, this connector allows me to keep the hub online and run the fans at full…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Much more reliable than a paper clip with tape. No risk of electrocution, fully isolated, use 3 of these on 3 650w DC power supplies for Asic computers. It's worth buying for reliability and security reasons if you need this type of connector to power everything with only VGA power cables.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Reliability
